UNWTO / Pilot Productions joint collaboration: Globe Trekker Round the World 20th Anniversary Special

UNWTO was pleased to collaborate with Pilot Productions in coordinating two special episodes filmed along the Silk Road as part of the adventure travel television show “Globe Trekker Round the World 20^th Anniversary Special”.

Forming part of the 8 episodes commemorating the 20th anniversary of Globe Trekker, a pioneer and award-winning travel show, celebrity presenters Megan McCormick and Holly Morris took viewers on a journey along the Silk Road from Xi’an (China) to Istanbul (Turkey), passing through Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) and the Caucasus region (Azerbaijan and Georgia).

This series created significant publicity for the Silk Road as Globe Trekker is the world’s most watched travel programme with an audience of 30 million viewers in 40 countries.
