Emil is a social media-obsessed entrepreneur in one of the most remote placed on earth: an abandoned Soviet mining village in the mountains of eastern Kyrgyzstan. Tracing his roots to the nomadic tribes that once roamed the area, Emil has returned to put his village back on the map by convincing tourists to go there on vacation.

Directors Alex Pritz and Noam Argov traveled to Kyrgyzstan twice over the course of 2018 to document both winter and summer tourism in the village of Jyrgalan. The result is "My Dear Kyrgyzstan" - not just a portrayal of Emil's project but also of a world in transition.
